Be Still

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (Psalm 16:11)

After you read your Scripture for the day, take some time to sit quietly and just listen for God's voice... not an audible one... He speaks in your heart.

Psalm 46:10 tells us to "Be still and know that I am God."

Have you spent time being still lately? Take some time to bask in His presence... there is pure joy and such pleasure! Such that you can find nowhere else! Not even your husband can bring you such joy and pleasure as your Lord can! This is not to put down your man; it is to encourage him! He does not have to hold you up emotionally; it's not his job.

If you just spend time sitting in God's presence, the benefit will be yours--and the experiences are out of this world!

  1. Wonderful thought! It is easy to forget that only God can fulfill us completely.

Thank you for you encouragement regarding my post on persecution.

Also, have you read any of Bodie and Brock Thoene's books? If not, you need to read their series on the life of Christ called, "A.D. Chronicles." It makes you want to draw even closer to the Messiah.
